The winners are back in Albuquerque

Yesterday at 15:10hr the flight of Southwest Airlines from Chicago arrived at the Albuquerque International Sunport. On board of that flight: Bob Berben and Benoît Siméons. They were welcomed by an enthusiastic group of people.

Before the assembled press they gave a short account of their flight, also thanking everybody who had helped to realise this victory, especially Troy Bradley, Lou Billones and Luc Trullemans.

We already knew that gas balloon pilots are not cast in the same mould as 'normal' people. Some of them proved it again today; only a couple of days after a very demanding gas balloon flight they were struggling against the wind to get a hotair balloon up in the air.
