At 01:00 hr on Easter Sunday D-OBCK 'Kiepenkerl II' was the first balloon to take off, the last one left at 01:37 hr.
By 08:00 hr 9 balloons were spotted near Saint-Hubert (B). After that message we had to wait all day long for results.
At 21:45 hr the team De Cock - Van Geyte informed us that they had landed after 18 hours minus 20 minutes near Poitiers (F). The team Siméons - Berben - Leys - Leys had landed after 18 hours minus 3 minutes at only 2 miles from their predicted landing place!
At 22:45 Sebastian Eimers, Second Competitionmanager, confirmed that the teams with the biggest distance had landed around 19:20 hr at 50 - 100 km S/SE of Paris.
It will take a couple of days before the final results are known: the participants have to send the logger and a printout of the barograph back to the organisation first.
Kind regards,
